Representing our country proudly in the international arena with 20 awards it won between 2019-2022, BOTAŞ was deemed worthy of 2 gold awards at the 2022 Green Apple Awards.

In addition to its main activities such as natural gas and crude oil pipeline operation, transmission and storage services, BOTAŞ continues to make a name for itself in the national and international arena with its works in the areas of social and environmental responsibility, energy efficiency and local and national production. Protecting and enriching the environment, BOTAŞ, with its environmental policies and the importance it attaches to sustainability, continues to reap the fruits of its energy management and energy efficiency efforts in the year 2022 too.

Continuing its efforts to protect air, soil, water, climate, forest and biodiversity for a sustainable life in line with its goal of “Being the Most Environment Friendly Organization”, BOTAŞ has become an exemplary organization in the world as well as in our country with its environmental practices.

In this context, our organization received two new Gold Awards (Fuel, Power & Energy: HABITAT Gold Winner 2022) at the Green Apple Awards organized by the Green Organization. BOTAŞ’ environmental sensitivity resonated with the international arena and it was deemed worthy of two Gold Awards with its “Seagrass Transplant Project”, realized within the scope of Saros FSRU Project and one of the most important signs of BOTAŞ's environmental sensitivity, and "Biodiversity Inventory Project" carried out in the campus of Department of Natural Gas Transmission and Market Operations in cooperation with Middle East Technical University.

BOTAŞ, which was also entitled to receive the title of "Green World Ambassador" with its successful environmental projects, received its awards at the international ceremony held at Westminster Palace in London, England on November 21, 2022.

As BOTAŞ, with the strength we derive from the awards we have won, we continue to put all our effort to develop new projects and offer innovative applications with a sensitivity that goes far beyond our legal responsibilities and with our environmental awareness which observes public interest and has a human-oriented perspective.
