BOTAŞ, a trailblazer company in the energy sector, which has made a name for itself with its innovative works continues to lead the sector with its environmentally sensitive activities.

A Wind Power Plant (WPP) with an installed capacity of 4.2 megawatts has been commissioned at BOTAŞ Silivri Natural Gas Storage Facility, which will meet all its power need from wind energy.

With the commissioned WPP, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 6,400 tons per year. With Silivri WPP, which is the latest sign of BOTAŞ' environmental sensitivity and has an annual electricity generation capacity of 15 million kilowatt-hours, electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of approximately 5,000 households will be generated.
