Within the scope of the natural gas cooperation between BOTAŞ and EGAS, Mr. Abdulvahit FİDAN, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of BOTAŞ, hosted Amr el-Hamami, Ambassador of Egypt to Ankara, at BOTAŞ Headquarters on April 16, 2024 and they discussed the ongoing negotiation process.

BOTAŞ the Energy of Europe, continues to deepen its strong cooperation with energy partners in the region in line with the aim of increasing energy resource diversity.

During the meeting held between BOTAŞ and the Egyptian national natural gas company EGAS (Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company) within the scope of the Cairo visit held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN on February 14, 2024, the parties agreed to develop their cooperation. In the following period, negotiations between the companies on potential partnership areas gained momentum. In order to carry forward the cooperation, BOTAŞ General Manager Mr. Abdulvahit FİDAN held a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador to Ankara, Amr el-Hamami on April 16, 2024.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the ongoing negotiation process between the two state companies. In addition, Ambassador Amr el-Hamami expressed his satisfaction with the progressing cooperation in several areas from trade to infrastructure projects under the title of natural gas.
