Ertuğrul Gazi FSRU Ship on Its Way to the Mediterranean
Ertuğrul Gazi, one of the major investments of BOTAŞ and the first FSRU (Floating LNG Storage and Gasification) ship registered in the Turkish Maritime Registry, was registered in the Turkish International Ship Registry and flies Turkish Flag.
In line with the aim of ensuring energy supply security of Türkiye, another important threshold has been exceeded. Testing of the FSRU ship "Ertuğrul Gazi", built for BOTAŞ, was successfully completed and Ertuğrul Gazi set out for Turkish territorial waters.

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Dönmez, announced the the good news with his post on his Twitter account, saying: "Our country's FSRU, Ertuğrul Gazi, will enter our territorial waters within this month. We wait in excitement.”
28 Million Cubic Meters Daily Gasification Capacity
Ertuğrul Gazi, one of BOTAŞ’s biggest investments will contribute significant flexibility to natural gas supply security and as such seasonal fluctuations, technical or geopolitical risks in natural gas consumption will be avoided.
The new FSRU vessel, one of Türkiye’s significant steps for ensuring the security of energy supply by enabling the diversification of source countries, is among the vessels with the highest capacity in the world with its 28 million cubic meter daily gasification capacity. Thanks to the measures taken to ensure the security of our natural gas supply, our natural gas consumption is met without any cuts.
Ertuğrul Gazi, which will enable our country to reach uninterrupted energy with a storage capacity of 102 million cubic meters, is expected to reach our country towards the end of April.
