BOTAŞ’ huge investment, Turkey's first FSRU, Ertuğrul Gazi, was commissioned with a ceremony held at BOTAŞ Dörtyol Terminal on 25 June 2021.

As BOTAŞ develops energy policies that extend to the future, our country is now one step closer to its vision to become an energy hub. As it completes its first year, Ertuğrul Gazi, which has carried out 24 STS (ship-to-ship) operations since it was commissioned, has contributed a total of 2.1 billion dollars to the natural gas transmission system. It owns the highest re-gasification capacity among the FSRUs in the world and it can meet more than 10 percent of our country's natural gas need.
